Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers is Assisting with an arson investigation.
During the early morning hours of September 24, 2009, Copperas Cove Police and the Copperas Cove Fire Department responded to the 700 block of Robertson Ave. in reference to a vehicle fire. The initial investigation reveals that a black 2007 Honda Civic was intentionally set on fire by an unknown suspect.

Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers is assisting the Texas Rangers & Coryell County Sheriff’s Office with the following Homicide Case:
On January 29, 1999 Raymond Dale Litchfield was found shot to death in his residence located at 757 Lawson Lane near Copperas Cove. Litchfield was found lying in the kitchen floor, by his wife, at approximately 2:00 p.m. that date. The investigation determined that Litchfield had been shot multiple times with a .22 caliber weapon. The only item taken from the residence was a .22 caliber Ruger semi-automatic handgun that investigators believe could have been the weapon used to commit the murder. Investigators believe that the homicide took place between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. on January 29, 1999. No forced entry to the residence was found and no other items were found missing from the residence or out buildings. Crime Stoppers needs your help to solve this case and identify the offender(s). During the hours of darkness Friday night, February 13, 2009 and early Saturday morning, February 14, 2009, four local businesses were vandalized when someone shot the store windows with a BB gun. The businesses that were damaged were Auto Zone, Wells Laundry, Discount Tire and Copperas Cove Food Mart.

Date Active: 01/20/2009 On Wednesday, January 13, 2009, at approximately 2:55 pm, the 7-Eleven Store located at 2012 W. Ave. B, Copperas Cove was robbed by a suspect armed with a long handled shovel. The suspect entered the store wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt has a wide white or light colored accent stripe that runs from the neck to the cuff. The suspect is a male 5’10” to 6’ tall. His head and face were covered. The suspect threatened the store clerk with the shovel and demanded money. After committing the robbery, the suspect fled into the area of the Cedar Grove Mobile Home Park.

Date Active: 01/12/2009 On Friday, January 9, 2009, four offenses were reported regarding criminal mischief at Alamo Self Storage, 903 Industrial Avenue. A black 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, a black 2002 Chevrolet Camaro, a blue 1989 Pontiac Firebird and a white 2006 Grand Surveyor RV were damaged when someone shot the windows with a BB/Pellet Gun. The offenses occurred during the evening of January 8, 2009 and early morning of January 9, 2009.
